My love of photography began in my early twenties and has been evolving ever since.  This site is a culmination of years of experience employing film and digital output.  I have always been drawn to color, shape and content.  It is no secret that combining these elements requires some pre-visualization along with some prior scouting.  Of course, I welcome that little bit of serendipity that sometiomes comes your way in the early morning or afternoon hours.

Pursuing this hobby requires you to get up before others and keeps you transfixed well after the sun has set.  For me, it is a chance to explore new ways to capture images while experimenting with the ever changing technology that has inundated the field.

Photography is a pure escape into the beauty that lies around us.

For all who know me, I am NOT a photo snob.  I welcome questions about the how tos and any general questions about the "art of capture".  No one camera system will make you better; that only lies with the person behind the lens.  The best advice I can give anyone is "just get out there and shoot".
